Developed by Ant International, Alipay+ provides mobile payment solutions that enable merchants, including small and medium-sized businesses, to better serve consumers around the world. Upon integration into the system, global merchants can accept payments made by consumers using their familiar and favorite payment methods. ● Alipay+ also provides digital marketing solutions, helping global merchants to distribute a wide range of discounts to users of different digital payment platforms, helping them to acquire and retain consumers. ● Alipay+ Global Merchant Payment Services provide platform-level services and toolkits to meet merchants needs for payment settlement, risk management and business growth for their global business development. ● Alipay+ Payment Technologies and Digitalization Services also provide digital technology solutions for business operation digitalization, e-wallet development, digital finance development and risk management to customers across different industries, supporting their digital transformation and accelerating financial inclusion.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
In 2013, Alipay and Ant Group started serving outbound Chinese travelers. Since then, the Group has gradually expanded its global partnerships to create an open, win-win global digitally inclusive ecosystem. With the sharing and upgrading of cutting-edge mobile payment technology, we strive to enhance cross-border payment experience for Chinese users while also helping Asian players tackle cross-border payment challenges. We also provide solutions to help Chinese merchants operate faster and better in overseas markets and at the same time enable global merchants to access multiple digital payment methods and connect with global consumers through one-time integrations. By connecting the world through technology, we aim to transform and upgrade local digitalization and enhance globalization. We are ultimately enabling global consumers to pay with their home e-wallet wherever they see Alipay+.
Launched at the Inclusion Conference in Shanghai in 2020, Alipay+ has connected more than 20 digital payment methods, including e-wallets, banking apps and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), covering global consumers, especially in Southeast Asia, and tens of millions of online and offline merchants around the world. Our key online merchants come from sectors favored by global mobile-savvy users, including digital and entertainment, e-commerce, tourism and online-to-offline (O2O), such as Apple, Disney+, NBA, Amazon, Agoda and foodpanda. Offline merchants covered by Alipay+ span from key Asian and European markets in sectors like food & beverage (F&B), tourism and hospitality, retail and transportation, such as Universal Studios in Japan, various duty-free shops in South Korea, Printemps in France and Milan Duomo Cathedral in Italy.
